Description
Cardioblate™ surgical ablation pen
Cardioblate™ surgical ablation pens offer the unique advantages of irrigated ablation technology. Irrigation allows energy to be driven further into the tissue for a deeper lesion, offers procedural versatility and malleability and minimizes tissue charring
The Cardioblate™ standard surgical ablation pen provides easy-to-use features:
- Malleable shaft allows you to shape the device
- Irrigation to cool tissue surface and facilitate deep energy penetration
- A small tip to optimize visibility in tight spaces
- Ergonomic handheld design
The Cardioblate™ XL surgical ablation pen features an extended length monopolar shaft (20 cm) designed for cardiac ablation procedures on difficult-to-access tissue. It is especially useful for:
- Small thoracotomy approaches (MICS)
- Larger or “barrel-chested” full sternotomy patients
- The ergonomic handle provides a comfort fit for the operator. The extended length shaft is reinforced to provide added column strength, yet it is fully malleable so it can be conformed to meet virtually any anatomical challenge.
- Key risks of Cardioblate™ iRF surgical ablation products include: tissue damage, extended procedural time, non-transmural lesions, conduction disturbances, bleeding, burn, stroke, TIA, acute ischemia, pericardial effusion, or tamponade.
